It is an E‑glass chopped strand T435N treated with special silane‑based sizing system. It delivers excellent strand integrity, high bulk density and low fuzz content. It features good flowability for precise glass‑loading control, outstanding temperature resistance and minimal color difference. When compounded with polyamide resins, it can endow composites with superior physical and chemical performance.

Applications

Chopped glass fiber T435N is specially designed for extrusion compounding & pelletizing process to reinforce thermoplastic PA6 and PA66. It is widely used to produce glass‑filled polyamide composite pellets for automotive components, electrical‑electronic parts and various industrial engineering plastic components.

Manufacturing process

It is manufactured by chopping continuous alkali‑free E‑glass roving which is coated with customized silane sizing agent. Finished chopped strands are supplied in short‑cut form for direct feeding into twin‑screw extruder for compounding with PA matrix resins.

Technical specifications

The technical specifications may vary depending on production batches, but typically include filament diameter, chopped length, loss‑on‑ignition, moisture content and composite mechanical performances. For example, typical filament diameter for T435N is 10 μm; available chopped lengths cover 1.5 mm, 3.0 mm and 4.5 mm; typical loss‑on‑ignition is 0.45 %, moisture content ≤0.05 %. When reinforced into PA6 at 30 wt% fiber loading, typical lab‑tested tensile strength reaches 187 MPa, flexural strength 277 MPa, flexural modulus 8800 MPa and Charpy notched impact strength 14.0 kJ/m² (ISO test standards). Note: actual composite performance will deviate subject to resin grade and processing conditions.

Safety and environmental considerations

Normal industrial PPE is recommended during material handling to avoid inhalation of fine glass dust. Store the product in cool, dry conditions away from rain. Recommended storage temperature: 5℃‑35℃, relative humidity 35%‑65%. For best performance, use within 12 months upon receipt. Keep packaging sealed if not in use to prevent moisture absorption. Follow local regulations for waste disposal of glass‑fiber waste.
