With its unique balance of a Shore A hardness of 85 and 90% light transmission, Wanhua Chemical's POE 5018 has achieved breakthroughs in automotive bumpers and electronic films: its low-temperature toughness-maintaining elasticity at -40°C-ensures components withstand extreme cold; its lightweight nature (0.885 g/cm³) contributes to energy conservation and emission reduction; and its stability at high processing temperatures (220°C) guarantees high yields during mass production.It is equivalent in performance to SABIC C1085.

Applications:

It is used to produce complex structural components such as automotive bumpers and dashboards; the material is injected into molds after high-temperature melting, ensuring high dimensional precision. Through chemical or physical foaming processes, it is used to manufacture lightweight footwear components and packaging materials, achieving densities as low as 0.2–0.5 g/cm³. It is also suitable for the continuous extrusion molding of films and pipes-such as insulation layers for electronic components and outer sheaths for wires and cables.
In the automotive sector, the 5018 grade is commonly used to manufacture parts like door panels and weatherstrips; its low-temperature toughness-retaining elasticity even at -40°C-effectively mitigates the risk of cracking in extreme environments.
