Dow ENGAGE™ 8137 Polyolefin Elastomer (POE) Injection-Molding Grade For Processability

Dow ENGAGE™ 8137 is an octene-based polyolefin elastomer (POE)-specifically an ethylene-octene copolymer-produced using metallocene catalysts and INSITE™ technology.

Key Features:

• High Toughness and Impact Resistance: Exhibits excellent impact resistance, particularly at low temperatures (-40°C to -55°C), making it suitable for cold-resistant applications.
• Superior Processability: A high melt flow index ensures excellent fluidity, facilitating easy injection molding and extrusion while improving weld line strength and filler dispersion.
• Aging and Weather Resistance: Its saturated backbone structure offers superior resistance to UV radiation, ozone, and thermo-oxidative aging compared to traditional elastomers (such as EPDM or EVA).
• Good Compatibility: Highly compatible with polyolefins like PP and PE, serving as an efficient toughening modifier; select batches comply with FDA standards for food contact.
• Lightweight and Transparent: Low density aids in weight reduction, and the material's natural state offers high transparency, making it suitable for aesthetic components.
