PVC Resin SG3 And SG5 Difference.

PVC resin is an amorphous linear polymer compound, the greater the relative molecular weight, the higher the viscosity, the higher the molecular weight, the higher the tensile strength, impact strength, elastic modulus of the product is also higher. However, with the increase of molecular weight, the fluidity and plasticity of resin baking body will decrease. The viscosity number is often used to indicate the size of the molecular weight of the polymer and to classify the polymer type.

 

1. PVC SG3: It is a oligomer grade PVC, which is the basic level of the production of PVC products, with mild quality and relatively small molecular weight, and is often used in the production of wire and cable protection tubes, tapes, injection products, etc.

2. PVC SG5: is a high polymer grade PVC, relatively large molecular weight, high additive content, with good physical, mechanical and processing properties, often used in the production of films, plastic pipes, floors, wallpaper and other high value-added products.

 

The difference between the SG3 AND SG5:

1. Molecular weight: The molecular weight of PVC SG3 is relatively small, while the molecular weight of PVC SG5 is relatively large.

2. Composition: PVC SG3 is relatively pure and has a low additive content, while PVC SG5 has a relatively high additive content.

3. Use: PVC SG3 is mainly used to manufacture some low value-added daily necessities and building materials, while PVC SG5 is used to produce some high value-added products, such as film, plastic pipe, floor and so on.

4. SG5 has a polymerization degree of 1000 and is usually used for injection molding raw materials such as pipes and plates, while SG3 may have different polymerization degrees and be suitable for different application scenarios.

5. During the reaction of PVC5 resin, the temperature is high and the pressure decreases. As the temperature increases, the flow will be much faster, so the pressure decreases.
6. Type 3 PVC requires a long reaction time, high polymerization temperature, and high requirements for the addition of auxiliary materials.
