Low Density Polyethylene Product Performance
Jul 06, 2023| The characteristics of low-density polyethylene are mainly as follows
1. The film is slightly milky white transparent and soft. The strength is smaller than that of high-density polyethylene, and the impact strength is greater than that of high-density polyethylene.
2. Cold resistance, low temperature resistance and high temperature resistance. The thicker film can withstand the sterilization process of soaking in hot water at 90°C.
3. Good moisture-proof performance, stable chemical properties, insoluble in general solvents.
4. It has greater air permeability, so when used as oxidized food packaging, the storage period of its contents should not be too long.
5. The oil resistance is poor, and the product can be slowly dissolved. When packaging foods containing grease, it will cause the food to have a hala taste after a long time of storage.
6. Long-term exposure to ultraviolet rays and heat will age, affecting its physical properties and dielectric properties.
7. The melting point is 110~115 °C, the processing temperature is 150~210 °C, if in the inert gas, the temperature can reach 300 °C is still stable. However, the melt and oxygen contact is prone to degradation.
