WANSUPER® Polyolefin Elastomer (poe)5017 Standard Virgin Grade For Material Modification

Wanhua Chemical's WANSUPER® 5017 is a high-performance polyolefin elastomer (standard virgin grade). Characterized by excellent physical and mechanical properties, good processing fluidity, and outstanding low-temperature toughness, it is widely used in applications such as plastic modification, foam materials, electronics and electrical components, and automotive parts.

Key characteristics:

• High Transparency and Excellent Toughening: Offers outstanding transparency; when used as a toughening agent, it significantly improves the low-temperature impact resistance of base materials such as PP and PE.
• Low Density and Lightweighting: Features a low density of 0.870 g/cm³, meeting the demands for weight reduction and energy efficiency in the automotive and electronics sectors.
• Good Processability and Compatibility: Has a melt flow rate of approximately 1 g/10min and a Shore D hardness of 69, offering balanced flow characteristics and high elastic recovery.

• Weather and Aging Resistance: Retains excellent toughness at low temperatures down to -40°C while demonstrating superior weather and aging resistance, making it suitable for outdoor use and harsh environments.

   

Application

Wanhua Chemical's POE 5017 (WANSUPER® 5017) is a high-performance polyolefin elastomer that offers significant practical value across various industrial sectors, thanks to its low density, high fluidity, and excellent impact resistance.

• Plastic Modification and Toughening: Significantly enhances the low-temperature impact resistance and toughness of base materials while maintaining good rigidity; widely used in automotive bumpers, interior components, and home appliance housings.
• Foamed Footwear Materials: Characterized by high elastic recovery and low density, it serves as a key raw material for EVA/POE foamed shoe soles, improving softness, resilience, and resistance to compression set.
• Photovoltaic (PV) Film Applications: Used in the modification of certain PV films or backsheet materials to enhance weather resistance and interlayer adhesion.

• Other General Applications: Includes wire and cable jacketing (improving flexibility), reinforcement of sealant elastomers, and impact-resistance modification for various consumer plastic products.
