PC 2458 is a medical-grade polycarbonate material manufactured by Bayer (now Covestro) of Germany. It is specifically designed for medical devices and food contact applications.

Biocompatibility and Safety: Complies with ISO 10993 biocompatibility standards and is FDA food-grade certified. It is non-toxic and harmless, safe for contact with human tissue or food, and suitable for products such as infusion tubes, syringes, and food containers.

High Flowability and Easy Processing: With a melt flow rate of 19-20 cm³/10 min (300℃/1.2kg), the low-viscosity design ensures excellent melt flow during injection molding, allowing for easy filling of complex molds and the production of finely detailed parts, while also reducing processing energy consumption and mold wear.

Excellent Mechanical Properties: It can withstand accidental impacts without easily breaking, making it suitable for durable medical devices and containers.

Heat Resistance and Stability: Suitable for high-temperature sterilization and long-term use.
